One Room Challenge Week 4: The Baby Steps

We are officially halfway through the One Room Challenge, and this is the first week that feels like the needle is nudging toward progress ever so slightly. Up until now, it’s been a lot of planning, decisions, and clearing out, but now we are finally putting things IN! Tiny things that aren’t exactly impressive to photograph for the blog, but still counts 🙃

Things that have happened this week:

  • cleared out the Ikea cabinets (fully — sold them on Facebook!)

  • picked up some paint samples and maybe made a decision?

  • moved my husband’s workspace into the guest room temporarily

  • removed the baseboards where the cabinets will go

  • took all the nails out of the walls and filled the holes

  • and the big one: the electrician installed our new counter-height outlets! The new cabinets can finally go in!

While I’m hoping to start making big moves this week, it’s also a certain someone’s fourth birthday; so, to be completely honest, there will probably be more cake and presents than cabinets and painting. But you guys understand, right? I knew you would.
