Hello Baby!
On April 30, right on her due date and 10 minutes before my scheduled OB appointment, our little Edie made her (very punctual) debut! And while I meant to share her finished nursery before then, things happened, naps were taken, and deadlines were missed. Oops.
So here we are, 5.5 weeks later, and I finally have a free moment (and enough sleep to not need that free moment for a nap) to post the pictures of her space! I let Jason pick the theme, though I use that word loosely because super theme-y spaces aren’t really my style, and he settled on “space.” With a modern black & white base and lots of pops of bright color, it’s a perfect compromise between our style and kid-friendly fun. And while I feel like the room will probably keep changing and evolving as she starts living in here and her personality starts to show, I’m loving where it’s starting.
Here’s her space, with a very cute cameo at the end:
Jason made the neon “shhh” sign, and I made her name pennant, and I love that there are little handmade touches throughout the room to show baby girl how excited we were for her to get here, and how much we love her.
This board and batten wall was another labor of love, and adds a little character to this builder-grade room.
Hi, Edie! I can’t wait to watch you grow up in this room.
